Wow, I just discovered I started this blogging about two years ago. Time flies when you are having fun...or when you are so busy in life that you live by a calendar. Life is changing again this month. First my daughter and her family moved out to live for two years, and the remainder of her college years with her father-in-law. It will be nice them to be able to have that time with him since he is getting up there in years. His health is still good and this time will be enjoyable for her husband to have the time with his dad that his two brothers won't get to have.
Another thing this month that is happening tomorrow. Our first granddaughter is graduating from high school. I have had the privledge of helping my son raise her and my heart will be racing when she is presnted with her diploma. We have spent the week getting her prepared for her first college session at Valencia. It is hard to believe that eighteen years have gone by so fast. I remember going to the hospital and seeing this pudgy newborn and the nurse handing her to me to hold. I certainly was not ready to be a g-mom! But grandbabies have a way of getting under your skin and in your heart - oh yes, and your pocket book... and she did. It hasn't been easy, as it never is rasing a child, but she has kept me young and moving, and pretty much up to date with the world. She is very indulgent with me in that she goes shopping so I don't have to wait for a tall person to come by and hand me something off the top shelf. I guess I should bring a big box of tissues to he rgraduation.
Life has been good for me in that I have two wonderful kids (yes they are brats still - and God knows they give me a headache at least once a week) and they each have given me two fabulously beautiful grandchildren that are good kids. Ok so we are totally disfunctional family, but isn't that more intersting and fun than a prim and proper boring family? We think so...
